God’s Heart for Women
Throughout Scripture, God’s love for women shines through stories of mercy, purpose, and redemption. He met them at wells, in fields, and on dusty roads; restoring hope, giving voice, and revealing His heart. Every encounter reminds us that no one is unseen, unheard, or unloved by Him.
Women of the Old Testament
The women of the Old Testament reveal faith, endurance, and divine purpose in every generation. From Eve, the mother of all living, to Sarah, who believed against all odds, their stories show how God’s promises transcend time. Hagar met God in the wilderness and named Him “The God who sees me.” Leah and Rachel remind us that God’s plans weave through human struggle. Hannah devoted herself to prayer and trusted God for a child, showing faithfulness and perseverance, and Miriam led with courage through song. Deborah judged with wisdom; Ruth stayed loyal when it cost her everything; Queen Esther risked her life for her people; and Rahab believed, and became part of the Messiah’s lineage.
Women of the New Testament
In the New Testament, we meet women who walked closely with Jesus; women of faith, devotion, and transformation. Mary, the mother of Jesus, believed the impossible. Mary and Martha teach us about service and stillness. The woman at the well found living water; the Canaanite woman displayed unshakable faith. The hemorrhaging woman reached out in desperation and found healing. Mary of Bethany anointed Jesus with love; Mary Magdalene was the first to witness His resurrection. Lydia opened her home to the gospel, and Timothy’s mother and grandmother passed down enduring faith. Their lives echo God’s continued invitation to believe, follow, and lead.
